What was deemed as a successful start to her career, Namploy’s first job was at SCG as an International Business Services Executive — a highly structured, large-scale organisation where systems were mature, and support was strong.
It was a thriving environment built for execution. Clear processes. Clear expectations. Clear career progression.
And in many ways, she delivered the works and grew within the system, taking on responsibilities as a supervisor and earning a promotion.
But gradually, the work became too familiar, too predictable.
Surprisingly, she experienced what people have with bad work — burning out. But for her, it’s not from pressure or workload, but a lack of challenge in her role.
“The burnout I experienced came not from pressure, but from a lack of intellectual stretch.”
As a high performer, Namploy knew her expertise was welcomed everywhere, and her strategic mindset could be utilised in many aspects.
But that same broad experience that she valued became an obstacle, making her unable to clearly communicate her in-depth knowledge to hiring managers.
“How can I present a broad career as intentional and senior-ready?”
In need of external perspectives, she reached out to Thrivre for help, ranging from Career Diagnostics to Resume Writing and Interview Coaching.
And they delivered.
The biggest shift was clarity, enabling Namploy to connect the dots together and represent her broad experience as her key strengths, rather than a fuzzy career.
Through Career Diagnostics, instead of being told who to become or how to rewrite her story, she was asked the right questions. Frameworks were introduced, and patterns surfaced.
“Rather than reshaping my story for me, [Thrivre] asked the right questions and introduced frameworks that allowed me to recognise the underlying logic in my career path.”
The same clarity was carried to how she was represented.
With Resume Writing, her profile was no longer just a list of roles, but a strategic story, and her experience became a structurally clear story with Interview Coaching.
“Being told that my profile was compelling helped me see my experience more objectively.”
What changes the most is how she experiences interviews.
Instead of feeling nervous and judged, interviews became challenging and fun — in fact, she found it energising to have conversations about ideas, problems, and how she could solve them.
Since making the transition, she has received multiple job offers and ultimately moved from SCG to HAUP as a Strategic Portfolio Lead.
Jumping from a junior role to a senior one in the blink of an eye.
“I’m finally able to use my skills in a way that feels meaningful.”
Namploy’s story is specifically for professionals who are doing well, but sense that something is missing.
Not because things are falling apart, but because they’re outgrowing their current environment and being shackled with the status quo.
For her, Thrivre wasn’t just another consulting firm that offers overly-scripted templates on how to navigate her career, write her resume and prepare for interviews; it was about stepping back and seeing the bigger picture of her career, enabling her to connect the dots and understand what kind of work environment truly fits her.
“The process didn’t just prepare me for a transition; it gave me a clearer understanding of myself as a professional.”
